Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is still one of the UK’s best selling wines and undoubtedly we’ll be including one here but NZ also has so much more to offer.

At this tasting, we’ll be exploring a range of different grape varieties from different producers and varied terroirs across the whole of the country.

This tasting will be hosted by Craig Mitchell who is the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia Director for Washington’s oldest and largest wine producer, Chateau Ste. Michelle.

Chateau Ste. Michelle are North America’s leading producer of Riesling but have also won much acclaim for their other wines from different varietals and vineyards carefully matched to ensure optimum quality.

TUESDAY 25TH FEBRUARY. 7.30PM. LESSER KNOWN SPAIN TASING

At this tasting, we’ll be looking beyond the likes of Rioja and Ribera del Duero to some of Spain’s emerging and lesser known wine producing regions.

THURSDAY 6TH MARCH. 7.30PM. WORLD BOOK DAY TASTING

We've loved hosting 'Wine in Literature' tastings in the past, so when better to revisit the theme than on World Book Day?

We may revisit some previously discussed wine and literature pairings but there will certainly be some new books discussed and wines tasted...

AND, in the spirit of World Book Day, we'll be dressing up for it!

Fancy dress amongst guests is not compulsory but may result in more generous wine servings! And we'll be awarding a vinous prize to the best effort.

SATURDAY 8TH MARCH. 3PM. INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: FEMALE WINEMAKERS’ TASTING

What better way to celebrate International Women's Day than with a Female Winemakers' Wine Tasting?

Many of the great wines on our shelves are made by women so we're taking this opportunity to select some of our favourites and taste them side by side.

WEDNESDAY 12TH MARCH. 7.30PM. CHILE VS ARGENTINA TASTING

This tasting was inspired by a recent private tasting we hosted for a group of university students and their two professors, one from Chile and the other from Argentina. The tasting finished with a blind taste-off to settle the long standing debate between the professors as to whose country made the best wines.

This will be another evening of great flavour combinations and taste sensations. We'll be pairing a range of different wines from around the world with their perfect cheese partner.

TUESDAY 8TH APRIL. 7.30PM. AUSTRIAN WINE TASTING

Following the discovery in the 1980s that a few Austrian producers were putting anti-freeze in their wines, exports of Austrian wine unsurprisingly dropped somewhat...

However, the long term outcome of this unfortunate scandal is that Austria now has some of the strictest rules and highest standards of any wine producing country.

Combine these high standards with great grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch and you get world class wines.

We're big Austrian wine fans and have some great new discoveries that we're looking forward to sharing with you at this tasting.

THURSDAY 24TH APRIL. 7.30PM. FLAGSHIP VARIETIES TASTING

We've explored the 'lesser known' grape varieties of certain countries at previous tastings but are yet to devote a tasting to the more famous names, so here it is!

At this tasting, we'll be celebrating the best known or most highly prized grape varieties of particular countries. So for example, we may feature a Chilean Carménère, an Austrian Grüner Veltliner or a Greek Xinomavro.

They must have become the country's flagship variety for a reason. We're ready to investigate!
